Tongits

Tongits is a popular three-player card game that falls within the Rummy family of games. The main objective of Tongits is to empty your hand cards by forming sets, also known as melds, or by minimizing your total score when a fight is called or when the central stack is emptied.

At the beginning of the game, each player is dealt 12 cards, while the dealer receives 13 cards. The remaining cards are left as a draw pile. The game kicks off when the dealer discards a card, and the next player can either pick up the discarded card if it helps them form a set or draw a card from the central stack.

Players should focus on collecting hand combinations and getting rid of unnecessary cards throughout the game. The picking and discarding of cards continue until a player wins by Tongits, calls a fight, or until the central stack runs out of cards. In the event that the central stack is depleted, players must tally the points of the cards remaining in their hands, with the player having the lowest total emerging as the winner.

To call a fight in Tongits, a player must lay down a meld on the table and refrain from discarding any cards onto their melds for that round. If a player can successfully use all of their cards in combinations by connecting to opponents' sets or the exposed card sets, or if they manage to get rid of all their cards, they win by Tongits.

Playing Tongits with friends can provide enjoyable moments and a means to unwind and relax. So gather your friends, dive into the exciting world of Tongits, and let the game help you destress and have fun each day!
