Piles of Mahjong – Match Three Tiles

Piles of Mahjong is a tile-matching puzzle inspired by Mahjong, but instead of removing pairs, you collect sets of three identical tiles.

Choose an available tile and it moves into the holding area at the bottom of the screen. When three matching tiles are collected, they disappear automatically and free the occupied slots.

Your objective is to remove every tile from the board without filling all seven holding spaces.

Manage the Seven Slots

The seven slots are the most important part of the puzzle. Picking tiles at random can quickly fill the holding area with different symbols and leave no room for another move.

Before selecting a tile, check whether you can already see a second or third matching piece. Try to build complete sets instead of collecting too many unrelated tiles at once.

Keeping several slots empty gives you more flexibility when new tiles are revealed.

Plan Before You Pick a Tile

Each tile you remove can uncover another piece underneath, so the order of your moves matters.

Look for tiles that both contribute to a match and reveal useful pieces below them. If several options are available, choose the move that creates the best chance of completing another set of three.

Pay particular attention to symbols already occupying the holding area. Completing an existing pair is usually safer than starting several new combinations at the same time.

Some situations become difficult when useful tiles are buried under other pieces or the holding area begins to fill up.

Use the available helpers when necessary to reshuffle the board, reveal additional tiles, complete a match or remove a troublesome piece. Saving these tools for difficult moments can help you recover from a nearly full holding area.

Instructions

Select an available tile to move it into one of the seven slots at the bottom of the screen.
