1. Objective: The goal of the classic solitaire game is to move all the cards from the tableau to the foundation piles, following specific rules and sequences.
2. Set-Up: Start by shuffling a standard deck of 52 playing cards. Then, deal out seven tableau piles, with the first pile containing one card, the second pile containing two cards, and so on, until the seventh pile contains seven cards. Place the remaining cards facedown in a stock pile.
3. Gameplay: Begin by flipping the top card from the stock pile face-up, placing it on the foundation pile. The foundation piles should be built up in ascending order from Ace to King, with each pile representing one of the four suits.
4. Moves: To move cards from the tableau to the foundation piles, you must follow these rules:
a. Cards in the tableau piles can be moved to the foundation piles if they are one rank higher and of the same suit.
b. Partial or complete piles of cards can be moved around within the tableau, as long as the moving card is one rank lower and of the opposite color (e.g., red on black or black on red).
c. An empty tableau pile can be filled with a King or a sequence starting with a King.
5. Stock Pile: If you run out of moves in the tableau, you can turn over three cards at a time from the stock pile to form a new tableau. However, you can only go through the stock pile once.
6. Winning: The game is won when all cards are successfully moved to the foundation piles, arranged in ascending order from Ace to King, with each pile representing one suit.
